Hello. As your Elections Committee for 2025, we are independent, nonpartisan monitors mandated by the UAFP Constitution to help ensure that the elections are fair and that all participants are UAFP members on good standing. To be in good standing, an adjunct needs to be paid up in their dues and must sign a UAFP Membership Enrollment Form. This may be found at https://uafp.net/become-a-member/

How did we come to serve on the Elections Committee? We volunteered in response to
a UAFP mailing to all members in good standing requesting volunteers to serve on the Elections
Committee.

We are very excited to announce the upcoming elections for the Union of Adjunct Faculty at Pace (UAFP).

According to the 2017 Constitution and the bylaws of the Union of Adjunct Faculty at Pace (UAFP), the following Union officials must be elected every 3 years:

• President,
• Vice President,
• Secretary, and
• Treasurer

Eligibility criteria:

Please note, to run for office in 2025, eligible candidates must deliver a nominating petition with at least ten (10) handwritten signatures of members in good standing (feel free to add additional signature pages) to the Elections Committee. For convenience, the eligible candidates can also scan/share a jpeg or a pdf of the nominating petition with the minimum 10 handwritten signatures. The scan/jpeg/pdf can be emailed to the Election committee at: uafpofficerselection@gmail.com no later than 4:00 PM ET on March 21, 2025.

Once the nomination petitions are received, we the Election Committee, will reconfirm that the potential candidates are:

• Eligible
• In good standing
• Have the requisite number of handwritten signatures

All potential nominated candidates will receive a note of confirmation or rejection by 4:00 PM ET on March 26, 2025. Please note, any challenges can be filed via email to uafpofficerselection@gmail.com. Any challenge must provide any and all specifics, along with a written certification or affidavit that is factually supported.

All nominated candidates that are eligible and in good standing, will be contacted by the Election Committee to confirm their nomination by 4:00 PM ET on March 26, 2025
